At Common Ground we want our children to Love God, Love People, and Bear Spiritual Fruit. Each stage of our ministry is aimed at developing these spiritual dynamics into the hearts and minds of our children.
The journey begins in the Nursery (birth through age 3) with “The King’s Creation”. Our nursery experience is aimed at helping these little ones gain a sense of God’s presence in their lives. They are nurtured by loving and caring adults in a safe atmosphere.
The journey continues for our Pre-K and Kindergarten ages as they enter the “Bigger Than Life” room. At this age we focus on helping our students learn about the Character of the King and why we worship Him. Our curriculum is Bible story based and designed specifically for this age group.
First and Second graders move up to the King’s Clubhouse. Here they learn about their role in the Kingdom- what it means to be a part of the body of Christ. They learn how to work together and how to love people. It is at this point, the children begin participating in ELEVATE, a curriculum that uses a combination of video, small group experiences, games, worhsip, and Bible verse memory to teach the important lessons about being a believer.
Finally, our 3rd and 4th graders move on to The King’s Castle. Here, they learn to bear spiritual fruit- to use their unique gifts from the King to change the world. This age also uses the ELEVATE curriculum and their discussions and activities are aimed at this deeper development of their faith.
